Scott L. Pederson, 52, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his home. Scott was born June 18, 1957 in St. Louis Park, Minnesota the son of Earl and Patricia (Clauson) Pederson. Scott grew up in Hopkins and Eden Prairie. He graduated from Eden Prairie High School and worked for his family owned dairy business in Hopkins. Later, he worked as a purchasing manager throughout the Metro and in Southern Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Cathryn Lawson on June 17, 1989 in Excelsior. They moved to Owatonna in 1998 and he worked for Power Team. He also worked for Gopher Sport as vice president of purchasing. Scott was an Aflac agent in Southern Minnesota. He was currently working with TBEI in Lake Crystal. Scott enjoyed fishing, biking, motorcycling, and especially his trips to St. John USVI. Scott also enjoyed spending time with his sons and very proud of their many accomplishments. Most recently he enjoyed riding his scooter and clowning with the Owatonna Masons/Shriners in the many parades. He is survived by his wife Cathryn Pederson of Owatonna; two sons, James (and Mia) Wakefield II of Mayer, MN; Justin Wakefield (and Elizabeth Laabs) of Eden Prairie; his father, Earl Pederson (and Gloria) of Hopkins; two brothers, Kerry (and Pam) Pederson of Spring Park; Bryan (and Rebecca) Pederson in Florida; two sisters, Linda (and Brett) Sprague of Maple Grove; Sandy (and Charlie) Pert of Lincoln, NE; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Meyers and his sister, Cheryl. A time for celebrating and sharing memories of Scott''s life will be held on Saturday, December 12 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with a Masonic service beginning at 7:00 PM.
