Sharon Luella Johnson, 63, of Owatonna, died Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Homestead Hospice House. She was born June 29, 1955 in Owatonna, the daughter of Elmore and Lucille (Wilker) Sorenson. Sharon married Bruce Johnson on June 30, 1984. The couple was blessed with one son, Cody. Sharon worked as a hospital secretary and then later as a paraprofessional at the Owatonna and Austin public schools, until her retirement. She enjoyed crafting and taking care of the household, and valued spending time with her family. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, aunt, and friend. Sharon will be missed by her husband Bruce Johnson; son, Cody Johnson of Owatonna; siblings, Ken (Alice) Sorenson of Owatonna, Kathy Enser of Jackson, and Joyce Lance of Houston, TX; nieces Melissa Warner of Owatonna, Rebecca (Adam) Rein of Owatonna, and Jennifer (Ryan) Heinrichs of Jackson; nephew, Peter Lance of Houston, TX; uncle, Elmer Wilker; and many more family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeanette Nixon; and brother-in-law, Marlin Enser. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-8pm and on Wednesday from 10-11am. Memorial services will be held February 6, 2019 at 11am at Michaelson Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Smith officiating. Memorials are preferred to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
