Sharon Lynn (Young) Taylor, 69, of Owatonna, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009. She was born October 20, 1940 in Hobbs, New Mexico the daughter of Ralph and Wilma (Jackson) Young. She had a passion for working with animals and enjoyed working as a veterinarian assistant and dog Groomer for over 30 years. After retiring in 2001 from her Dog Grooming business 'Animal Affair,' Sharon enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Sharon also enjoyed beading and staying active on Poodle List on the Internet. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Vernon Taylor; sons, Bobby (and Connie) Gorden, Jeff Gorden, Mark (and Kelly) Taylor, all of Owatonna; daughter, Melinda (and David) Petersen of Bloomington; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Henry Young of Pasadena, CA; sisters, Ann Stitchler of Greeley, CO, Sue (and Rick) Plattsmier of Austin, TX and nieces and nephews. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and older sister, Martha Evans. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm and on Wednesday from 1pm to 2pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2:00pm at Michaelson Funeral Home with The Reverend John Lestock officiating.
