Steve Thompson, 57, of Little Falls, Minnesota died July 07, 2012 at his home. He was born September 13, 1954 in Virginia Beach, Va., to Marlowe and Betty Thompson of Ellendale. He grew up in Claremont and graduated from Claremont High School in 1973. He continued his education at Minnesota School of Business in accounting. Steve used his varied talents and skills with employers near and far. Most recently, Steve worked as a machinist near his home in Little Falls, Minnesota. Steve was an avid hunter, who also enjoyed fishing and spending time in the garden. He had the gift of gab, and would talk to anyone. He enjoyed playing games, following the Minnesota Twins, and working on home projects for his family and friends. His greatest joy was spending quality time with family, especially his son and grandchildren. Steve is survived by his son, Steve (and Stacie) Thompson Jr. and Steve''s mother Annette, 3 grandchildren, Hunter, Halleigh, and Cora, his parents, Allen and Betty Buss, 4 sisters: Bryn (and James) Richard, Bryce (and Jerry)Mann, Debbie (Greg) Heacox, Kelli (and Tim) Miller and 3 brothers: Brent (Jan) Buss, Brett (and Roberta) Buss, and Brian (and Lisa) Buss and sister-in-law Marla Buss. He was preceded in death by his birth father, Marlowe Thompson, and his brothers Jeff Thompson and Bruce Buss. Visitation will be at 10 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 21 at the First Presbyterian Church in Claremont with The Reverend Dr. Joe Jones officiating.
