Steven F. Crull, 71, of Claremont, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary's Campus in Rochester. Steven was born in Rockford, IL to Eugene and Jean Crull, and grew up in Evansville, WI. He attended University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and earned his Bachelors of Science Degree. It was at UW-Steven's Point that he met his wife Patricia and they married August 8, 1964. They shared 44 years of marriage together. Steve started his career in Pennsylvania with the Soil Conservation Service. He transferred to Owatonna, MN with SCS in 1970. The family moved to Claremont to farm in 1980. He began consultation services with agriculture drainage and became well known for his design, surveying and consulting. As an avid lover of nature, he enjoyed fishing, hiking and camping. Steve's passions included classic Chevys, car shows, rock and live music, dancing, sports and his beloved grandchildren. His love for music drew him to the Faribault Lakelander's Barbershop Chorus. He was a father figure, friend and mentor to many. Survived by siblings Jane Pawlus, Ralph Crull, Linda Fuller, John Crull, Mary Lou Femrite, and David Crull of Evansville, WI area; children, Thomas Crull and wife Kris Kopischke of Minnetonka, MN; Michael Crull and husband David Heide of St Paul, MN; Kathleen Ebeling and husband Thomas Ebeling of Victorville CA; Melinda Hedberg and husband Bobby Hedberg of St. Paul, MN; Partner in life Caryll Olejnicak of Owatonna, MN Beloved grandchildren Will Crull, Jaclyn and Scott Ebeling. Proceeded in death by parents Eugene and Jean Crull, brother Robert Bo Crull, and wife Patricia Crull. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Mary's ICU Unit for their compassionate care. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private family service will be held on Monday.
