Steven Wayne Hewitt, 58, of Owatonna, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his family. Steven was born March 14, 1954 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Ray and Rachel (Britch) Hewitt. He graduated from Catlin High School. He joined the Navy and was stationed in California where he met Linda Matthies. They married on May 21, 1977, and by September that year were stationed in Spain. While there they had their first child Heather. After his faithful service they moved to Owatonna. Steven achieved his BS in Heath Education at Minnesota State University Mankato. He has worked at Wenger for 11 years. Steven is survived by his wife, Linda Lu Hewitt of Owatonna; parents, Ray (and Rachel) Hewitt of Catlin, IL; daughter, Heather (and Erik) Mickelsen of Hudson, WI; son, Jason Hewitt of Rochester; brothers, David (and Becky) Hewitt of Oakwood, IL, Mark (and JerriAnn) Hewitt of Catlin, IL; sister, Susan Hewitt of Catlin, IL; granddaughter, Adeliene Mickelsen; and many nieces and nephews. Steven was preceded in death by brother, Michael Hewitt.
