Susan Kay Johnson, 72, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.

She was born August 10, 1951 in Rapidan the daughter of Donald and Vivian (Laven) Beadell. Susan was raised in Rapidan where she graduated from high school in 1969. In 1983, Susan moved to Owatonna where she met Doug Johnson. Sue married Doug Johnson in 1986 at Christian Family Church in Owatonna. The couple lived in the Owatonna area and she worked at Modern Metal Products and later Federated Insurance retiring in 2017.

Sue enjoyed painting, watching birds, tending to her flowers and spending time outside. She had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Most of all, Sue enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Johnson of Owatonna; children, Nicole Enge of N. Mankato, James Beadell of Owatonna, Christine Johnson of Owatonna, Peter (and Janelle) Johnson of the Phillipines; grandchildren, Megan Enge, Brenna Enge, Logan Beadell, Neelia Beadell, Aubree Beadell, Maloree Beadell, Samuel Johnson, Gabriel Johnson; sisters, Rebecca Beadell, Kimberly Richardson, Rebecca Wittenberg, Michelle (and Bruce) Bersie, Melissa (and Jeff) Johnson; brothers, Tim Beadell, Jeff (and Cindy) Beadell, Russell (and Tess) Wittenberg and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Beadell.

Memorial services will be held Monday, July 1, 2024 at 11am at Christian Family Church with visitation from 10:15am to 11:00am.
