Susan Deyanne Von Ruden, 66, of Claremont, died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born May 28, 1945 in Los Angeles, California the daughter of Arvin and Mary Ella (Harmer) Epps. She graduated from Claremont High School. Susan and Lloyd Von Ruden were married on June 7, 1963 in Claremont. She worked at the Napa Distribution Center and retired from there in 2001. Susan enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, sewing, and cooking. She loved to read books and enjoyed the company of her family. She is survived by her husband Lloyd Von Ruden; daughters, Tami Spindler, Teresa Dumais; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; brother, Robert Epps; sister, Vicki (and Richard) Mohs. Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Pat Donovan. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 4pm to 6pm at Michaelson Funeral Home.
