Obituary

Terry Ray "Hink" Hinkle, 67, of Medford, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at his home. He was born November 8, 1948 in Owatonna the son of Harry and Bethel (Ward) Hinkle. Terry married Jeanette "Farmer" Jansen in 1983. He worked at the Medford Block Plant, Misgen Trucking, DeRose Industries and Wright Tree Service before starting Hink's Repair. Hink enjoyed many years planning and executing the 4th of July fireworks show in Owatonna as well as many shows for other events in surrounding communities. He loved listening to The Beatles and playing drums. He was the drummer for the bands Nasty Habit and The Trolls for several years. Hink also loved to play jokes on people. If you were a friend, undoubtedly you experienced his pranks and sense of humor. Drag racing was a passion that Hink shared with his family and friends. He raced at Minnesota Drag Ways, Brainerd International Raceway and Tri-State Raceway in Earlsville, IA for many years. He is survived by Jeanette Farmer Hinkle of Medford; daughter, Nickole Nikki Hinkle of Apple Valley; son, Jan J.C. (and Kalli) Hinkle of Medford; brother, Mike Hoss Hinkle of Claremont; grandchildren, Jozelynn, Ella Rae, Elias; nephews, Todd Hinkle and Scott Hinkle. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Hinkle. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 2pm to 6pm.
