Thomas N. Arndt , 83, of Owatonna, died Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Homestead Hospice House. He was born December 17, 1925 in Owatonna, the son of Herman and Frances (Benedict) Arndt. Tom graduated from OHS and started farming with his father and continued to farm with his brother William until his death, and then continued to farm on his own. Tom enjoyed going to Polka Festivals and listening to Polka Music, he also enjoyed hunting, birds, apple trees, gardening, and collecting old tractors and restoring them back to new. Tom was a perfectionist at everything he did, and was also a very helpful person. He is survived by two brothers, Irwin (and Donna ) Arndt, John (and Shari ) Arndt both of Owatonna;, two sisters Ramah Rypka of Owatonna, and Frances (Richard) Hall of Los Banos, CA; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday December 31, 2008 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM . Funeral service will be held Wednesday December 31, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home with Reverend Nancy Edwardson officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
