Vera M. Wolfe, 93, of Owatonna, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born March 19, 1920 in Turtle River, Minnesota the daughter of Herman and Mary (Bright) Hofmeister. Vera attended schools in Nevis, Owatonna, and the Aurora Township area. She was confirmed in 1936 at Aurora Lutheran Church. She married Harvey Wolfe December 12, 1941 at Aurora Lutheran Church. She worked many years for Uber Glove Company, and was a designer and clerk at Cashman's Flower Store, and she also worked for E.F. Johnson's in Waseca. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She enjoyed making crafts, and belonged to the VFW, and American Legion Auxiliaries, and also to Senior Place. Vera enjoyed traveling, playing cards with family and friends and working at the VFW with the Auxiliary Ladies. Vera enjoyed spending time with her friends Gordie and Mattie Eastman at Cedar Lake. She is survived by many nieces and nephews including Suzanne (Jack) Hiemstra of Lakeville, Lynne (Loel) Holthus of Owatonna, and Curtis (Martha) Rossow of Willow River. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harvey, three sisters and two brothers. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Wednesday April 3, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
