Vidta Ann Woitas, 82, of Owatonna, died Monday, April 13, 2015 at Owatonna Care Center. She was born March 2, 1933 in Blue Earth the daughter of Orville and Lily (Willie) Oachs. Vidta grew up near Minnesota Lake. She married Harold Woitas July 11, 1952. The couple lived in various places prior to moving to Owatonna in the late 1960's. Vidta worked at E.F. Johnson in Waseca for over 20 years. Following her retirement in the late 1990's she worked at The Kitchen in Owatonna. Vidta was an active member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved flowers and her various frog collectibles. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading cookbooks to find new recipes. She is survived by daughter, Sue (and David) Kaplan of Blooming Prairie, Pamela (and Mark Goheen) Welch of Coldwater, MI; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Randy (and Ann Wilson) Oachs of Telico Plaines, TN, Keith Pete (and Dorothy) Oachs of Baudette and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Woitas; brother, Cletus Oachs Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be held Friday April 17, 2015 at 2pm at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Owatonna Memorial Gardens in Owatonna.
