Viola 'Ruth' Bringgold, 90, of West Concord, died Friday, November 16, 2012 at her home. Ruth was born December 3, 1921 in Red Wing, and adopted by Clarence and Ella (Betcher) Perret. She graduated from Wanamingo High School. Ruth married Caryl Bringgold on November 29, 1941. Ruth loved to play basketball and even went to Minnesota''s state basketball tournament in high school. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, and board games. She had a big heart and was deeply loved. Ruth is survived by her husband Caryl Bringgold of West Concord; daughters, Patricia (and Dale) Dohrmann of West Concord, Judy (and Tom) Andrews of Viola, AR, Marilyn (and John) Styndl of Blooming Prairie, Anne Thompson of Columbus, IN; son, Christopher Bringgold of Faribault; eight grandchildren, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by one brother; four sisters; grandson, Michael Andrews; sons-in-law; Darrel Stanley, John Thompson, Royce Andrews. Visitation will be at Concord Church of Christ on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Concord Church of Christ with The Reverend Tim Smith officiating.
