Viola M. (Erler) Jacobson, 99, of Kenyon, died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Sunset Nursing home in Kenyon. She was born April 15, 1914 in Ellington Township the daughter of Julius and Emma (Halvorson) Erler. Viola graduated from West Concord High School in 1932. Viola married Julius Jacobson in 1937 in Moland Township. The couple lived on a farm in Kenyon before moving to town in 1949. She worked at King Coil in Kenyon for 18 years and retired in 1978. Viola enjoyed quilting, baking and gardening. Above all else she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Wesley (Carol) Jacobson, Burnsville, MN; daughter Valborg Headman, Watertown, MN; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be at Hauge Lutheran Church on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 1:00 PM and Hauge Lutheran Church with the reverend Martin Horn officiating. Interment will be held in Kenyon Cemetery.
