Violet Ruth Roemhildt, 89, of Owatonna, passed away peacefully at Bridgewater Assisted Living on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

She was born August 18, 1934, in Morristown, Minnesota the daughter of Emil and Frances (Kuball) Bremer. She was the youngest of the children behind her four brothers. She attended and graduated from Morristown High School.

She met the love of her life, Dennis "Hank" Roemhildt in Waterville. Excited to start their lives together, they were married at North Morristown Church on August 12, 1955.

Violet worked for many years at EF Johnson in Waseca and then Truth Inc. in Owatonna from which she retired in 1996. She was an active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Owatonna devoting her time and energy to serving on the alter guild and volunteering for kitchen duty as needed. She spent many hours outdoors enjoying motorcycling, camping and many pontoon rides. She loved playing bingo, scratch-off lottery tickets and traveling to Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Mexico and an Alaskan Cruise with friends and family making lasting memories. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always looked forward to their visits and stories.

She is survived by daughters, Cindy (Mike) Boerner and Cheryl (John) Meinke both of Owatonna; grandsons, Shannon and Ryan Boerner; granddaughters, Brooke and Brandi Seykora and Bobbi Kenow; great-grandsons, Jacob, Dylan, Ethan, Gavin, James, Ozzie and Lucas; great-granddaughters, Olivea, Marah, Averi and Kaelyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Frances; husband of 65 years, Dennis "Hank" Roemhildt (2022); four brothers, Ed, Walter, Ray and Donnie; three brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Owatonna with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Harold C. Storm will officiate. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
