Violet I. Wobschall, 102, of Owatonna, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Owatonna Care Center. Violet was born November 17, 1909 in Geneseo, Illinois the daughter of Richard and Emma (Schmoll) Storm. Violet graduated from Owatonna High School in 1927. She was united in marriage to Elmer Wobschall on April 11, 1932. They lived in Faribault where Violet worked at S H Green Stamp Store, National Tea Grocery and Montgomery Ward. The couple later moved to Medford to their Century farm. Elmer died June 18, 1994. Violet was active in the Steele Co. 4-H program and ladies aid at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Deerfield homemakers club, an avid gardener and enjoyed playing cards. Violet passed on many life lessons to her grandchildren whom she loved very much. She is survived by son, Richard (and Delores) Wobschall of Faribault; daughter-in-law, Donna Wobschall of Owatonna; six grandchildren, Kim (and Don) Brockmiller of Warsaw; Konie (and Mark) Klemmensen of Owatonna; Kent Wobschall of Medford; Kory (and Tammy) Wobschall of Owatonna; Greg (and Amy) Wobschall of Owatonna; Chele (and Steve) Steins of Rochester, 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Wobschall; and a son, David Wobschall. Funeral services will be held, Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Medford with The Reverend Kirk Griebel officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Medford. Arrangements by Michaelson Funeral Home.
