Virginia M. Wilson , 95, of Owatonna, formerly of Claremont died Friday, August 26, 2011 at Traditions I of Owatonna. She was born October 26, 1915 in Campbellsville, Kentucky the daughter of Isaac and Virginia (Mitchum) Thompson. She grew up in Kentucky, and then married Leonard Johns in 1937, he later died and she married Floyd Wilson in 1947. The couple lived in Britt, IA, and moved to Claremont in 1957. Floyd died in 1974. She later moved to Owatonna in 1991. Virginia was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Claremont, and the Leisure Club in Claremont. She enjoyed collecting Cardinals, baking pies and making fried chicken. She was also a 4-H leader. She is survived by three children Phyllis (Verne) Jacobsen of St. Paul, Jeff Wilson of Rochester, Kurt (Lynne) Wilson of Clarksville, TN. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, son Donnie, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters. Graveside services will be held Wednesday August 31, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Hillside Cemetery in Claremont with Reverend Robert Hamilton officiating. Memorials are preferred to the First Presbyterian Church of Claremont. Michaelson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
