Vivian Eileen Howell, 83, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna.

She was born August 8, 1940 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Andrew and Flora (Jenkins) Larson. She grew up in Minneapolis where she attended school.

She married Dallas Howell in 1956. The couple lived in a number of places around the United States and retired in Owatonna in 2003.

Vivian enjoyed crafting, playing bingo, socializing, garage sales, thrift store shopping and spending time with her family, especially visits from her grandchildren.

She is survived by children, Myron (and Tamra) Howell of northern Minnesota, and Michelle (and Peter) Larson of Owatonna; 8 grandchildren, Candice (son, Parker), Michelle (children, Roary, Danika, Destiny), Joshua (daughter, Lana), Darla Jean (children, Brooke, Mason, Cyrus), Thomas (children Haleigh, Noah, Jonah), Arianna (children, Michael, Carter, Austin), Stephen (children Natalie, Ty, Nevaeh) and Bobbie Jo (children Carlie, Oliver) and brother, Charles Larson of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Flora; husband, Dallas; infant daughter, Darla Jean; son, Michael and sister, Shirley.

Services for Vivian will be private.
