Vivian Caroline Johnson, 88, of Owatonna, died Sunday, September 1, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was born May 1, 1925 in Cresbard, South Dakota the daughter of Fred and Elda (Gertje) Radtke. She was a graduate of Owatonna High School. Vivian married Laurel Johnson March 14, 1948 in Owatonna. She worked as a cook for the Owatonna School District until her retirement. Vivian was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church and member of TOPS. She loved flower gardening and crossword puzzles. Vivian and Laurel also enjoyed camping trips in southern Minnesota and Wisconsin area. She is survived by her son, Greg (and Kathy) Johnson of Blooming Prairie; granddaughters, Jamie Johnson of Lacrosse, WI, and Kristie Cobban of Owatonna; two great grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Cobban; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Laurel, son, Douglas, and sister, Mildred Paustian. Visitation will be at St. John Lutheran Church on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held 11:00 Friday, September 6, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Dave Klawiter officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
