Wendell Loren Wilker, 63, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at his home of natural causes. He was born August 19, 1954 in Waseca, Minnesota the son of Lorenz and Carol (Shaske) Wilker. He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1972. He and Deb have been together for 34 years and have been married since February 13, 2004. Wendell's work career included delivering the Star Tribune in the rural area for 20 years, part-time work at Dave's Disposal and Central Valley Co-op, OTC-Power Team for 25 years, Lakeside Food and most recently General Equipment. He enjoyed motorcycling, wood cutting, wood working, wine making, road trips and collecting baseball cards. He loved gardening and taking care of his lawn. His relaxation was weeding the garden.
He is survived by his wife, Deb of Owatonna; mother, Carol Wilker of Owatonna; sons, Wade Wilker of Owatonna, Weston Wilker of Owatonna, Kevin (Linda) Skala of Owatonna and Kasey (Caitlin) Skala of Lenexa, KS; siblings, Nancy Miller of Rochester, Margie (John) Meixner of Owatonna, Susan (Murray) Langer of Owatonna, Mark (Karen) Wilker of Waseca, Paul (Heidi) Wilker of New Ulm and Amy (Will) Swain of Savage; granddaughter, Elise Wilker; step-grandchildren, Ashley Valek, Eccense Johnston, Brandon Skala and Margot Skala; great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Breamer; brothers and sisters-in-law, DeeAnn (Robert) Amberg of Geneva, Jenine Kubista of Owatonna, Kelly Kubista of Owatonna, Ray (Tabatha) Kubista of Lester Prairie, David Kubista of Denver, CO and Mike Kasper of Owatonna.
Wendell was preceded in death by his father, Lorenz and nephew, Joseph Langer.
A visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna on Sunday, April 8th from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Michaelson Funeral Home in Owatonna. Interment will be held at a later date.
