William Oeltjenbruns, 89, of Claremont, died Friday, March 21, 2008. He was born March 2, 1919 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota the son of William and Minnie (Ehlers) Oeltjenbruns. William grew up in Mountain Lake, and then moved to California for five years, he started farming in Dodge County in 1941 and later retired in 1991. William married Pearl Nelson November 9, 1941 in Blooming Prairie. They had one daughter, Bonnie (Phillip) Schmoll and one son Brent. Pearl died May 31, 1986. He later married Pearl Henkle August 6, 1988 in Mantorville. He was a past member of St. John Lutheran Church Owatonna. He was a member of the Eagles Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and gardening. William is survived by his wife Pearl of Claremont, daughter Bonnie (Phillip) Schmoll of Shakopee, son Brent Oeltjenbruns of St. Charles, four grandchildren Ashley Oeltjenbruns, Chad, Keith (Joy), and Alex Schmoll and one great granddaughter Kendra Schmoll. He is also survived by two step sons Barth (Connie) Ackerson of Gardenville, NV, George (Virginia) Ackerson of Norwalk, IA, two step daughters Terry (Larry) Krueger of Elgin, IA, Jenelle Buhr of Gillcrest, CO, one brother Carl Oeltjenbruns of Owatonna, three sister in laws Edith Oeltjenbruns of Owatonna, Lillie Oeltjenbruns of Litchfield, and Pat Oeltjenbruns of Mantorville. William was preceded in death by his first wife Pearl, five brothers and a sister-in-law. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Sunday March 23 from 5-7 PM, and one hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be Monday March 24 at 2:00 PM at Michaelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery Claremont.
