Yvonne Claire Grondin, 79, of Owatonna, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Countryside Senior Living. She was born July 11, 1930 in Minneapolis. Yvonne graduated from Alden High School with the class of 1949. She received two years of nurses training in Mankato. Yvonne married Virgil Grondin in 1954. The couple lived most of their life together in Minneapolis where they belonged to the Moose Lodge. While in Minneapolis, Yvonne worked for a couple of hospitals and later provided in home nursing care. Yvonne loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by son, James Grondin of Soldiers Grove, WI; daughters, Dawn Mitchell of Owatonna, Beth Grondin of Minneapolis; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband and a son, David. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Countryside Living, Owatonna in the Community Room.
