Yvonne Etta Hofius, 81, of Owatonna, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at her home.

She was born June 26, 1942 in Rochester, Minnesota to Fay and Pearl (Strain) Hofius. Yvonne moved to Owatonna when she was six and graduated from Owatonna High School. After graduation she started working at Federated Insurance, where she worked for over 50 years. Yvonne was an avid Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan. She even received a Twins jersey with the number 50 when they heard that she worked there for 50 years. She also enjoyed knitting, playing games and celebrating birthdays with her friends.

She is survived by her brother Eugene Hofius of Mazeppa; sisters, Charlene Hofius of Owatonna; Sharol Hofius of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fay and Pearl Hofius; brothers Norman, Charles, Gordon, and Milford Hofius; sisters, Thelma Wandrey, Evelyn (Stange) Lee; niece, Tammy Hofius.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11AM-1PM at Michaelson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Owatonna Memorial Gardens. The family would like to say a special thank you to Jan McDonald.
