Obituary

Zachary Quinn Anderson was born in Owatonna on January 11, 1992, to Edward Anderson (Kasson) and Naomi (Colmer/Anderson) Bohlman of Dodge Center. His passing took place at his home (Claremont) August 23, 2021. He attended Triton Schools; graduating in 2010. For the past 10 years he had been employed at Energy Economics Inc in Dodge Center. He took pride in his work and it gave him a sense of accomplishment. Over the years, his supervisor Dan (Toot) Marquardt took him under his wing, and often said that Zach was like a son to him, and the feelings were mutual. Were it not for Toot and the love he showed to Zach, Zach wouldn't have held on as long as he did. We are forever grateful for their friendship. Zach wanted to be the next "Eminem"; having a passion for writing, rhyming, and rapping - this is shown in the numerous notebooks he had. He was very talented and his thoughts and emotions are clearly expressed on these papers. Zach also collected antique typewriters and fans and would work diligently on them until they were functional and beautiful-he had many gifts and talents. He was an old soul. Above all else in this world, his greatest pride, joy, and accomplishments were his children-Amelia Ann Anderson and Stanley William Anderson. They were the apple of his eye, the smile on his face, his reason and purpose in this life. There are no words to express how deeply he loved them, and how he would have gone to the ends of the earth for them. This bond was strong, and not even death can sever that. Zach never knew how much he was loved. He was a selfless man, Kind and caring--sometimes to a fault, but he wanted everyone surrounding him to be happy. Anyone who talks about him remembers the smile he always had. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; George and Eunice Colmer and Gary (Swede) and Donna Peterson. Uncles and Aunts; Steven Stennes, Donna Colmer-Wallace, Cindy (Colmer) Hovland, and Keith Colmer. Zach is survived by his Children; Amelia Anderson and Stanley Anderson, Parents; Ed Anderson, and Naomi and Brian "Fuzzy" Bohlman; Siblings; Alex (Jenny) Anderson of Dodge Center, Madison Anderson of Dodge Center, Maxwell Anderson of Wanamingo, and brothers through marriage Jansan Bohlman of West Concord, and Jackson Bohlman of Minneapolis. Uncles Roger (Lee) Stennes, Pete (Jane) Stennes, Troy Hovland, Tom (Sarah) Anderson, and Aunt Pennie (Pete) Moe. Nephews and Niece Jayce Johnson, Trinitee Johnson-Anderson, Tye Anderson, Robert Vihnicka, and several cousins. Keep those you love close, take the time to say I love you, to give a hug, to listen. He loved deeply, he cared with every ounce he had. He was too pure for this world. All who knew Zach are invited to attend a memorial service, which will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home in West Concord at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, immediately followed by a light lunch and time of remembrance at the West Concord Legion until 4 p.m. A Private Interment will be held at Concord Cemetery in Concord Township.
