Making an accurate price comparison

While price comparing funeral homes can be helpful, it can also be difficult to make exact comparisons without talking to the funeral home directly. Each funeral home names and prices their caskets, urns, and other merchandise differently based on materials and features. For the most accurate comparison, bring in your estimate or pre-arrangement and we can do a side-by-side comparison. We can take care of the work necessary to transfer and honor pre-arrangements from another provider if you decide to use Michaelson Funeral Home. Our general price list is designed to accommodate each families individual needs. Through our a la carte style pricing, families are only charged for the services and merchandise they select.

Helping you make informed decisions

When you meet with one of our funeral directors, we can guide you through deciding what type of service might best fit your family’s individual needs. Using our past experiences and knowledge, we can offer direction based on factors such as family size, community relations, and the ways in which your family would like to honor your loved one. For example, a visitation the evening before the funeral service may be beneficial for someone who has lived in the same community for many years and has multiple children, friends, and other connections in the area. Having that additional time for visitation would allow the family the opportunity to have as much time as possible with those who attend rather than trying to accommodate and greet everyone during a limited one-hour visitation before the service. This might not be the case for every family, there is no single approach that is right for everyone. We are here to listen and help guide you through these decisions.
